Philharmonic

The Variety Philharmonic Orchestra was created in September 2014. The group is an annual participant of the International Jazz Festival in Vladivostok. Within the framework of the festival, the soloists of the Variety Orchestra were famous performers - the ensemble of Pavel Sharomov (Novosibirsk), Myrna Clayton (USA), Denise Perrier (USA), Mariam Merabova (Moscow), Sharon Clark (USA). Every year the orchestra participates in all major cultural projects and events held in Primorye. The main creative directions of the Variety Orchestra of the Primorsky Regional Philharmonic are popular orchestral miniatures, film music, famous pop songs, jazz compositions by Russian and foreign composers. Among the most successful programs of the group are dedicated to the works of Henry Mancini, Paul Mauriat, James Last, Alexander Zatsepin, Evgeny Krylatov, Gennady Gladkov. The following programs have gained particular popularity: "Romantic Collection", "Hip-Hop in Russian", "Carnival Night", "Suddenly, Like in a Fairy Tale, the Door Squeaked!", "Disco, Disco, Disco", "Pop Music Rabbits". Conductor - Dmitry Butenko. Graduate of the Far Eastern State Academy of Arts. In 2010, he founded the Melodiya pop orchestra, and in 2014 he headed the Pop Orchestra of the Primorsky Regional Philharmonic. Author of a large number of arrangements for the pop orchestra, performed by the group in concert programs. He has prepared more than 400 concert programs, including concert programs for the Pop Orchestra within the framework of the APEC Summit, the Eastern Economic Forum, the International Exhibition and Forum "Russia" (VDNKh, Moscow), and the International Jazz Festival in Vladivostok. Collaborates with the Russian State Symphony Orchestra of Cinematography (RSCCO), conductor S.I. Skripka, Soviet composers A.N. Pakhmutova, E.P. Krylatov and others. In 2024, the Variety Orchestra of the Primorsky Philharmonic under the direction of Dmitry Butenko became a laureate of the international competition "April Spring" (Pyongyang, DPRK).
